IGBT variable frequency induction forging diathermy equipment

  • Application fields: heating before forging, extrusion, blanking and drawing of steel, copper, aluminum and their alloy blanks.
  • Constitution of equipment complex: digital high-power IGBT variable frequency series-connected/parallel-connected induction power supply, operation console (industrial touch panel or industrial personal computer + Siemens PLC), induction furnace, capacitor cabinet, infrared thermometer, temperature closed-loop control system, cooling system and mechanical device, etc.
  • Performance indicators: processing range, productivity, quality conformance, power consumption, power factor, equipment utilization rate, etc. all reach the international advanced level.

Technical characteristics

  • Carbon steel is heated to 1,250℃, temperature difference of core meter is ≤50℃ and power consumption per ton is 360kWH.

  • Do not repair and forge the furnace wall for 6 months, rapidly change the furnace lining and do not change the guide rail for 12 months.

  • When starting heating, it can be started directly and rapidly under any temperature (cold state/thermal state) and any load (there is or no blank in the induction furnace) with the 100%successful rate of start-up. Increase temperature rapidly through automatic temperature compensation technology to avoid start-up waste loss and improve productivity.

  • When heating has been finished, take out the last qualified blank in the furnace to make it from full load to free load. When the last blank is put into the induction furnace, the output power can be automatically adjusted under the working condition that load in the furnace is constantly variable, to make the last blank temperature stable and keep its constant-temperature output. Take out the last qualified blank in the induction furnace during continuous heating to avoid stop waste loss.

  • Variable frequency/variable load self-adaption: because it has the variable frequency self-adaption range of 0.2-20KHZ and 10-100% automatic power adjustment function, thus can make CONO variable frequency forging diathermy equipment have induction heating ability for steel of most specifications and types (diameter/wall thickness/length/material). Users can select artificial furnace change or automatic furnace change to use it widely to make the equipment utilization rate reach the highest point (diversity application of variable frequency one for multi-induction).

  • Power automatic adjustment: stepless adjustment within a range of 10% to 100%, a strong linkage exists between power and temperature of CONO fully automatic digital IGBT variable frequency induction power supply, and through the power and temperature auto-controling system can achieve the accuracy and stable control of heating temperature.

  • Temperature closed-loop control system: the infrared thermometer measures the heating temperature of blank at the outlet of induction furnace to monitor whether it is excessively heated or incompletely heated. After the temperature monitoring, finally signals shall be reported back to the working main engine of induction heating—the control system of CONO variable frequency power supply, and the power supply shall identify automatically according to the set technology requirements. When the blank temperature exceeds the targeted temperature range, the control system will automatically adjust the output power based on this set value and revise the power to control the blank temperature within the targeted range, which reduces the production of unqualified products and guarantees the product quality conformance.

    In comparison, the traditional power supply and temperature closed-loop control system cannot correct the temperature departure of the blank after receiving the feedback of temperature control signal, and thus the power supply cannot achieve automatic matching, and can only adjust power/temperature by manual operation or select from high and low temperature by virtue of this temperature signal because such signal cannot participate in the power control of the power supply.

  • Customized selection system of blank heating technologys: users may receive and store corresponding processing technical parameters, and then preset relevant technical standards for future use based on different types of billets being processed and through technical adjustment. The standard data size of storage is 50 sets of technologys, but with CONO intelligent control system, the capability to store infinite data can be achieved. After determining the dimension of the billet, it can choose a corresponding preset technical parameter for startup and operation, and minimize manual adjustment, which cooperates with CONO temperature closed-loop control system achieving heated billets with high quality conformance.

    The customized selection system of heating technologys bases on the acquisition of precise technical parameters and excellent power performance, whereas the traditional power supply is neither capable to acquire precise parameters nor entitled with functions such as fully automatic variable frequency/variable load/power adjustment, and thus cannot actually achieve technical selection function.

  • Even heating temperature, high precision of temperature control and minor temperature departure: CONO series-connected variable frequency power supply can directly and precisely detect the changes of load current readily, and thus achieve closed-loop control of output power and maintain a constant output power and stable temperature even though the external voltage fluctuates. The control precision for the product heating temperature is extremely high and temperature difference of the core meter is low, and therefore, it also prevents occurrence of blank bonding and oxidization and decarbonization and finally improves the product quality.

  • High power factor: CONO adopts IGBT serires-connected variable frequency power supply, which is able to always keep constant high power factor of 95% within 10-100% power range. And the power factor shall not be affected by production takt adjustment.

  • Operation capacity of wide voltage: it can operate reliably when the power supply voltage is within 380V, 575V and 660V±10%.

Setting of operating parameters, operating state and failure monitoring are all displayed in graphical interfaces with the standard configuration of the RS485 interface for industrial communications.
